My wife and I have supported Invisible Children for several years. Here is a new video that they recently released...If you get a chance take the time to check it out. More than anything, please don't ever get quiet, stand up and make some noise. Make some noise. C
I am the husband to my wife, Ashley and Dad to two beautiful daughters, Alexis and Sadie. Since 2003 I have served as lead pastor of Mission Abilene, a church that focuses on the outcasts of society. I am also the co-founder of the STV MOVEMENT. Most importantly, I am imperfect and flawed, yet by the grace of God I am able to share my story of redemption. Welcome to the chronicles of my soul.

Locked
Although The Stop The Violence Movement is an event, it is so much more than an event, it's a movement.
After meeting with Sari David this morning I am excited to say that there is major development on the horizon for STV and the city of Abilene.
I also want to acknowledge a new facet of STV. STV will assist those found to be victims of family violence and assault with changing their locks to their residence. This is a unique way that STV can help bring a sense of security to victims.

Capable of Becoming
"It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.”

15 years in the making
It's official, this Easter will be special for two reasons. First and foremost we are going to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior. Secondly, we are going to celebrate 15 years in the making...What is 15 years in the making? It's the 15 year anniversary of The Mission/Mission Abilene. Join us as we bring back some folks that were incredibly instrumental in the development of church to celebrate this historical event. This will be a Sunday you will never forget.

You responded
It's official Mission Abilene you raised almost 1500 dollars today in change to fund the installation of two water filters that are being installed as I write. I am so grateful to be able to watch God move through each of you. Because you responded, people in Brazil will have the opportunity to taste a clean drink of water for the first time.
Thank you for responding.

End of our lives
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
