The Lord has told you, human, what is good; he has told you what he wants from you: to do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God. Micah 6:8
That's one of my favorite verses too. It was the theme verse of a VBS I taught at Rocky Creek using VeggieTale's Jonah--and one of the most awesome God-centered VBS's I've been a part of! (You, Lexi, & Ashley should check out the VT Jonah DVD! It's basically for kids but you might be surprised what adults can gain from it too! And it's funny!)...God's timing was perfect for me then. I needed that truth to be "drilled" into my head and He impressed this verse on my heart time and again long after VBS was over, even when I first came to the Mission and I began to rebuild my faith after leaving CP. It was a time when I couldn't "fix" the circumstances or hurts or even just go back to life as it was. One translation says, "What does the Lord REQUIRE of you?..." I seriously didn't know what to do anymore but God used this verse to teach me and encourage me to move forward. I couldn't do anything else but these three things I can always do...
