Chapter 5 Eph

In chapter 5 we see Paul place a high importance of walking in love. We also witness the responsibilities of wives and husbands in relation to each other.

In verse 1-6 we see Paul address the issue of walking in love when he states, “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Paul addresses the fact that we must rid ourselves of all impurities. As we continue to read verse 8 declares that followers of Christ should also walk in the light. Scripture states, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”

The chapter ends with a declaration for husband and wives to walk in unity as they respect and love each other.
